Frequently
Asked
Questions

Is school in session Monday through Friday?

No. Berean operates on a four-day school week, with classes meeting Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This schedule allows us to provide a full and productive academic week while also giving students and families an additional day for rest, appointments, travel, family time, and other activities. Our goal is to make the most of the time students spend in the classroom while supporting a healthy balance between school and home life.

Do you require uniforms?

We do not have uniforms, however, we do have a dress code, which can be found in our Family Handbook

Do you offer a lunch program for students?

We do not offer a hot lunch program for students. Refrigerators and microwaves are available for students to store, cool, and heat their food. Concession items (chips, snacks, etc) may be purchased during lunch for 7th-12th grade.

Are you affiliated with any denomination?

We are a non-denominational Christian school. We base all of our teachings solely on Biblical principles. Our student population represents 25+ churches and a variety of denominations.

Do you require students to use the King James Version?

Yes. To maintain consistency across all grade levels, Berean Christian Academy uses the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. This is the translation incorporated into our curriculum, allowing students and teachers to study, memorize, and discuss Scripture using the same text throughout their academic experience.

Do students receive a full high school diploma upon graduation?

Yes, our students graduate with a diploma that is accepted by 100% of colleges and higher institutions.

Do you offer dual-credit college classes to students?

Absolutely. We are proud to offer dual credit Biology and Communication Arts to our high school students through Crowder College. These classes provide college credits at just a fraction of the costs. Crowder is accredited by the higher learning commission and credits are transferable to most other colleges and universities.

Does BCA have any sports teams?

We do. BCA is proud to offer volleyball and both boys' and girls' basketball for junior high and high school students. We participate in the Missouri Christian School Athletic Association. (Please note that sports offered may vary based on student interest and number of eligible students available to participate.) You can keep up with our sports teams on our Student Life page.

Does BCA participate in the Missouri A+ Scholarship program?

Yes. The vast majority of our juniors and seniors participate in the A+ program, providing participants with two years of tuition and general fees at any public community college or public Vo-Tech school in Missouri.

How many course hours are required for graduation?

We require 25 course hours for high school graduation. For more information, please download the Family Handbook located on our home page.
